Two years ago I got really interested in ethical consumption and the environmental impact of fashion. “Fast Fashion” is inexpensive clothing produced by mass retailing companies in response to the latest trends. This piece also shows how said companies also have their workers in sweatshops working tirelessly for a poor working wage. Now, I make a day out of thrifting with my friends and enjoy shopping secondhand. I love finding hidden gems and amusing graphics someone used to have in their possession. Stylistically I drew this in a more illustrative way which I don’t do often, so I really enjoyed the process!
