nobody likes fourteen anyways
(an original poem by Sarah)
published 06.16.21
i will never be that young again
i know that.
i am full of loose skin that i have to wait three years
so i can be clean of your hands.
and i don't get my teen years back
from the volatile love and hate
of the man who loves to hate.
and on my bad days
i am just rotted meat on a bed.
but i hope my skin that replaces yours
will be strong and tight.
and i hope i will look myself in the mirror
and not see you.
words from the author:
you're more than what men make you.
